A Special Tribute to the 1970–71 Fordham Rams
This year’s ceremony will also feature a special tribute to the legendary 1970–71 Fordham University Men’s Basketball Team.
Led by Head Coach Digger Phelps, the Rams captured the imagination of New York City with an unforgettable 26–3 season, a national Top 10 ranking, and a memorable run in the 1971 NCAA Tournament. Known as the “Darlings of New York,” their exciting style of basketball and remarkable season remain an important part of Bronx and New York basketball history.
